That is the reason why medics advise people to replace fats and carbohydrates with proteins. As calories from proteins have better effects to the body than the other food types.

You Can Lose Weight with Supplements

The second common weight loss lies busted by me is related to supplements. The market is awash with supplements promising magic to those who wish to lose weight in the snap of a finger.

What people are not aware of is the fact that very few of these supplements can even help you lose half of a pound.

Those who have managed to lose weight using these supplements are only losing it due to the so-called placebo effect.

Where their minds trick them into being more aware of what they eat yet they claim that the supplements are working.

The Weight Loss Process is Linear

People today are made to think that losing weight should be on a linear scale.

Yes, you think since you lost a pound last week, then it is required to lose a pound or more this week as well. Just because you are following the same routine.

That is as far from the truth as it gets since the body works by losing a pound here and another one there. It loses according to many issues both within and without the body.

Frankly speaking, this is the myth that makes people think that they are not going to have results with their weight loss plan, and they end up quitting.

Move More and Eat Less to Cut Weight

That is like telling the person hooked on bhang to smoke less simply. While ‘Move more and eat less’ is a mantra that so many people believe in, it has a little truth to it for weight loss.

Tackling the problem of being overweight from this perspective is not rational. Would you thus tell the skinny guy to move less and eat more? Not true at all.

That is was true until people raised concerns over the contents of fast foods.

As a matter of fact, most fast food stores nowadays offer very healthy options that will rarely add a calorie to your body.

When you go into a fast food restaurant, and you want to have something healthy, just ask, and they will give you exactly that. Don’t take it for granted that every fast food place is unhealthy. They have healthy options too for all.

Breakfast Determines the Loss and Gain of Weight

People have made it almost a universal truth that breakfast will affect how you gain or lose weight.

The fact that studies have pointed out is that whether you eat or skip the morning meal, it all depends on the general outlook of the meals you eat.

You can eat breakfast that is healthy and keeps eating healthy foods during the day. Alternatively, you can eat poor breakfast and continue eating poorly and gain weight all the same. It is not about breakfast.

However, I do want to point out that majority of people who skip their breakfast eat more than what their body requires during their lunch. Thus, I recommend you to have a healthy breakfast every morning.
